TOOWOOMBA enjoyed a steady soaking yesterday morning,  paving the way for slightly cooler conditions throughout the week.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology's Toowoomba Airport weather station, at least 21.2mm fell yesterday.

Looking to the week ahead, today is forecast to be mostly sunny with light winds expected.

The temperature in the Garden City will range from 11 degrees in the morning to a maximum of 20.

Tomorrow the mercury will dip slightly, with temperatures ranging from 9-19 degrees on what is expected to be a mostly sunny day.

Temperatures on Wednesday will range from 8-19 degrees, while the tail end of the week will be cooler.

Friday and Saturday are expected to reach a maximum of 16 degrees with a slight chance of rain.
