A GRAND Central store has decided to host its first Love to Give campaign, held in the true spirit of Christmas.
As part of Harper Bee's, Bee Aware initiative, the Love to Give campaign has been created to give back to girls in local communities at Christmas and spread a little Harper Bee love.
This year Harper Bee will be making donations to partner charity City Women Toowoomba, specifically the Bella Girls, Bella Sisters and Hope for our Children programs that support young girls in foster care.
The Love to Give campaign will run in the Harper Bee Grand Central store until December 21.
When shoppers purchase an item during the campaign they can choose to purchase a second item as a gift at half price and the gift will be wrapped and placed under the Love to Give tree.
It will then be distributed to not only girls in foster care but also girls that come into emergency foster care over the Christmas period.
Alternatively, shoppers can also purchase a Harper Bee tote between until December 31 and all profits will be donated to the Bella Girls program that provides educational support to girls in foster care.
Owner Janine Burford said Harper Bee was all about encouraging girls to not limit their kindness and positivity to just those in their friendship circle but to extend it to those in need and inspire those around them to do the same.
"We are very excited about our Love to Give campaign and our partnership with City Women Toowoomba and the programs they provide for girls in foster care," Ms Burford said.
"We both align on the same values for young girls that they are unique individuals and we want to encourage them to be the best they can be.
"We are looking forward to providing some amazing gifts for girls in care to ensure that they have a truly special Christmas".
