A woman has been arrested after allegedly striking a police officer with a stolen car at a driver testing station in Adelaide’s north this month.
The Ford Falcon sedan was stopped at random testing site on Curtis Rd in Munno Para just before 4pm on June 9 but the driver allegedly sped off and hit a police officer and then another vehicle close by.
Police found the woman allegedly hiding in a caravan in the backyard of a northern suburbs address on Saturday after an investigation into the incident, which determined the Ford sedan was stolen from Freeling in May.
The police officer suffered a leg injury in the incident but has since returned to work.
The 33-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with illegal use, driving disqualified, recklessly causing harm to another, leaving the scene of a crash and numerous other traffic offences.
She was refused police bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Monday.
