Seaford shopping centre terror as teen grabbed in alleged attempted car jacking
A group of onlookers jumped in to help a young woman who police claim was pulled from her car by a would-be thief in a terrifying shopping centre incident on the weekend.

Police have praised a group of citizens who detained a man believed to be a would-be carjacker who allegedly pulled a teenager out of a car in a shopping centre carpark on Saturday night.
According to police, a 19-year-old woman was sitting in her car in a shopping centre car park on Commercial Rd, Seaford just after 9pm on Saturday when she was approached by a man.
The man asked the woman for a lift and the pair had a brief conversation before he allegedly reached in and dragged her out of the car.
Witnesses intervened, pulled the man out of the car and detained him until police arrived.
The 20-year-old South Brighton man was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery.
He was refused police bail and will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Monday April 14.
Fortunately, the young woman wasn’t injured during the incident and police thanked the public for coming to the her aid.
