Two trucks have collided in a horrific crash on a major highway north of Adelaide, which is set for a surge in traffic ahead of the Easter long weekend.

Police and emergency services are responding to a devastating double-truck crash at Inkerman, between Wild Horse Plain and Port Wakefield.
Crews were called to Port Wakefield Hwy, near Prime Rd, just before 7am on Thursday.
Witnesses have reported one of the trucks burst into flames.
It is understood a truck was T-boned by another truck in the morning.
Truck driver Wayne Meyers, who was at the scene, told ABC morning radio he expected the clean up to take “hours and hours”.
“There is a lot of smoke coming off the accident site,“ he said.
“There was intense fog this morning when I came through about half an hour prior to this accident occurring and the fog was that thick you wouldn’t be able to see 20 metres in front of you.
“It looks horrible – it’s a horrible, horrible scene … (as a truck driver) it’s our worst nightmare.”
Traffic on the southbound lanes is blocked and police advise that diversions will be in place.
It comes as the Port Wakefield Hwy prepares to carry a heavy traffic load ahead of the Easter long weekend.
Traffic through Port Wakefield slows to a crawl annually at Easter with holiday makers visiting the Yorke and Eyre peninsulas.
Meanwhile, a broken down truck on Lower Portrush Rd near at Marden is causing traffic delays on Thursday morning.
The northbound lane is restricted to one lane as the truck awaits a tow truck.
