A rusted 1975 white Holden Kingswood stolen from Murray Bridge would likely have needed a trailer to move it, police say, as they appeal for public help.
The classic piece of Australian motoring history was described as having “not been driven in a long time” with “rust spots along the base of the doors” and the licence plate SOL181.
Police said the condition of the vehicle is so poor that it would have probably been stolen on the back of a car trailer.
The theft is believed to have occurred on Adelaide Road at Murray Bridge sometime between 5pm on Saturday, February 22 February and 10am on Monday, February 24.
Anyone who spots the stolen classic car or has information on its whereabouts is asked to contact the police assistance line on 131 444.
Reports of suspicious activity can also be made to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au.
