Manhunt after woman attacked in John E Brown Park near Bonython Park in North Adelaide’s parklands

A woman has been assaulted in a North Adelaide park, with police now hunting for a man with a “strong accent”.

A man is on the run after a woman was assaulted in the early hours of Saturday morning near a popular Adelaide park.

The assault allegedly took place in John E Brown Park – also known as Park 27A – which is northeast of Bonython Park on Port Rd.

Police say the male suspect was described as being of a heavy build, with dark or tanned skin, about 183cm tall with a “strong accent”.

He was wearing a “distinctive” white-and-dark striped shirt featuring a white collar and three-quarter-length sleeves with white cuffs, and had black leather shoes on.
