An injured Josh Rachele has given fans an inside look at his rehab routine as the star small forward gets creative off the field, posting a day-in-the-life style video to social media.
Rachele seems to be in good hands surrounded by his family, partner, friends and a lot of mum’s homemade cooking.
But it’s far from fun and video games – even though there is a bit of that going on – as the 22-year-old goes through a gruelling routine of leg and knee exercises, with lots of ice packs, leg supports, braces and muscle stimulation machines thrown in.
Undertaken both at home and at the Crows training facility, Rachele can be seen undertaking some light ball handling exercises with teammates.
Despite the progress, it is still unclear how many matches Rachele is expected to miss after he landed awkwardly on his left leg in the Crows Round 17 win against Melbourne last fortnight.
He underwent surgery last week after it was confirmed he suffered a Posterior Capsular tear along with a bone compression injury.
While Rachele has always had a social media presence, his latest videos offer a rare insight into his journey back from injury and glimpse into his personality – such as last week when Rachele made headlines becoming the latest sports star to join in on the “Indonesian boat kid aura farming trend”.
He posted the video from his hospital bed doing the dance moves, albeit on his back, to his 37k followers on TikTok, where he is no stranger to posting his attempts at the latest viral crazes.
