An Adelaide Hills man has had a lucky escape ahead of Christmas after his car rolled on a major highway overnight.
Emergency services were called to the down track of the South Eastern Freeway at Urrbrae just after 11.30pm on Monday night after reports a car had rolled.
Images from the scene show the vehicle on its roof in the emergency lane of the freeway.
A second image shows the damaged car on a tow truck.
The sole occupant of the white Holden sedan, a 39-year-old man from Verdun, managed to escape with only minor injuries, but he was reported for driving without due care and refusing a mandatory blood test.
He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
Crews remained on scene to clear up the flipped car which before it was towed from the scene.
“This is a timely reminder for all road users to pay attention whilst using the roads,” SA Police said.
