A teen driver is fighting for life in hospital after a car crashed into a heavy roller parked on the side of the road north of Adelaide.
The young man was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition after the crash on Haydon Rd at Kangaroo Flat, with emergency services alerted to the scene just before 7:20pm.
The driver and sole occupant, a 17-year-old Gawler Belt boy, suffered life-threatening injuries.
The crash occurred a short distance from the University of Adelaide’s Roseworthy Campus, and also within 10 kilometres of Templers, where a 39-year-old woman died in hospital on Monday, from a head-on collision with a truck on April 23.
Major Crash officers attended the scene and investigations into the crash are ongoing.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.
The crash happened just hours before an alleged hit-run at Hillcrest, which left a 20-year-old woman from Greenacres dead.
