From ping pong and shuffleboard to footy darts and a karaoke ball pit, Adelaide’s latest entertainment venue is right around the corner.

Set to welcome 500 employees over the next decade, Ballers Clubhouse is on a path to creating $100m turnover within the next three years, according to co-owners Stephen Wools and Josh Lefers.

The Melbourne-based businessmen believe Adelaide is “bringing it hardcore” off the back of popular events LIV Golf and AFL Gather Round, and said they wanted to be part of the “blossoming”.

“It’s a city which is really on the up,” Mr Lefers said.

“We aim to inject a new type of adult fun and vitality into Adelaide’s growing hospitality and entertainment sector that is being amplified with LIV Golf and Gather Round.

“Melbourne is now looking to Adelaide and going ‘wow, this place is doing some great, big events’, and so we thought ‘let’s create something that doesn’t exist here’ and that’s Ballers Clubhouse.”

The Adelaide Ballers Clubhouse will have up-market food and cocktails, a 36-tap bar and a birdcage ball pit with karaoke.

The $3m fit-out is underway in the former Mansions Tavern heritage site on Pulteney St, and will be ready for guests by next month.

The business partners, who have also worked as concert promoters for names ranging from Aqua to Dead Kennedys, opened their first Ballers Clubhouse in Melbourne in 2020, followed by another one in Carlton three years later.

Mr Lefers said the “adult wonderland” would provide guests with an immersive environment.

“This is all about the party,” he said. “Our mission is to revolutionise socialising in Australia through blending stunning hospitality environments with immersive games to create the world’s best night-life experiences.

”Our Adelaide venue is designed to captivate guests for hours, helping people entertain themselves together through a multi-sensory experience with posh food, exquisite cocktails, immersive games, and energising music.“

Bookings can now be made.
