Serious crash closes Victoria Highway near Timber Creek for several hours

A main highway had to be closed by police following a serious crash 60km west of Timber Creek on Sunday morning.
At 8.30am on 29 June, emergency services were made aware of a “serious crash” involving a flipped vehicle on Victoria Highway.
Motorists in the area were urged to travel with caution and warned traffic may be affected.
By 11.30am, officers had closed the road 5km west of Bulla and said it was expected to remain shut for several hours.
In a post online, the NT Police Force in the Katherine Region stated: “Traffic diversions are not yet in place and motorists are urged to avoid the area if possible and wait until further notice before travelling past the crash site from either direction.”
