Search continues for driver involved in hit and run crash

Witnesses are urged to contact police with any information related to the crash, after the driver was spotted leaving the scene.

Police are continuing their search to find the driver of a car that was involved in a hit and run.

The incident occurred on Friday night, about 8.30pm, when a man driving a white sedan allegedly crashed into a power pole near the New England Highway and Station St, Hampton.

Witnesses told police the male driver and a juvenile boy later exited the sedan and walked over to a vehicle that arrived before leaving the scene.

A spokesman from QPS said the power pole was repaired and police arrange for the abandoned sedan to be towed.

Police are attempting to find the driver and will continue investigations today.
