School Camp for Toowoomba kids these holidays

SCHOOL holidays are almost upon us and if you're looking for a way to entertain your kids, this is perfect.

SCHOOL holidays are almost upon us and Grand Central has announced it is hosting its own School Camp.

Grand Central marketing manager Julie Thompson said a range of outdoor activities would be held in Central Square from Monday for two weeks.

"There's a variety of fun outdoor activities planned, from hula hooping to children's yoga, Nerf Guns to Silent Discos, all in a safe environment," she said.

Ms Thompson said hand sanitiser would be made available before and after each session, and there would be spots marked for participants to ensure social distancing is maintained.

''Places are booking fast though, so we'd recommend booking as soon as possible if you're interested in attending any of these activities," she said.

All activities are free.

School Camp Activities

• Monday, June 29 from 10am - 11.50am: Nerf Guns with Toymate. Attempt to master the Nerf Gun maze during a 20-minute session with Toymate.

• Wednesday, July 1 from 10am - 11.50am: Mum and Child Yoga with Goodlife. Help the kids prepare for the busy year ahead with specially designed yoga sessions for children with the team from Goodlife. The 20-minute sessions are at 10am, 10.30am, 11am, and 11.30am.

• Friday, July 3 from 10am - 11.50am: Hula Hooping with Rebel. Join in some good old-fashioned hula-hooping with our friends from Rebel Sport and receive your very own free hula-hoop to take home. The 20-minute sessions are at 10am, 10.30am, 11am, and 11.30am.

• Tuesday, July 7 and Thursday, July 9 from 9.00am-11.05am: Silent Discos with Guru Dudu. Silent Discos are back and this time it's just for the kids. Enjoy some classic tunes and dance around like no-one is watching with a guided tour from Dani Disco from Guru Dudu. 20-minute sessions will be held at 9.00am, 9.35am, 10.10am & 10.45am.

If you aren't able to make it to any of these activities, you can always take the Grand Central School Camp experience home for your children to enjoy later.
