GRAND Central's Sanity store is reassuring customers of the recently closed ABC Shop that they can still buy the products from an equal Australian chain store.
Sanity area manager Joshua Pegg understands what it's like to run Australian chain stores.
"It's the devotion of customers that separates us from the rest," he said.
Mr Pegg has even been in contact with staff at the former ABC store, interviewing several of them for positions at Sanity.
"It's a loyalty that can't go to waste. I want them to know that there's somewhere they can go," Mr Pegg continued.
"Almost all of the products that the ABC store sold we also sell in store or we can order into store for customers.
"That includes all the big ABC titles such as Doctor Who, David Attenborough and all the ABC kids titles such as Octonauts, In the Night Garden, and Charlie and Lola just to name a few."
To help provide the people of Toowoomba with the ABC products they need, Sanity are revamping their Grand Central store to accommodate more ABC products.
"This store change will happen well before Christmas and will help provide the shoppers of Toowoomba with a product they already know and love. Stocking 400 per cent more titles of ABC and also having the ability to order any other titles in, means that Toowoomba customers will not miss out on this range," Mr Pegg said.
"What they know and love about this product is still available for them and we will provide it."
Australian-owned Sanity has been operating for more than 23 years and is located in every state in Australia.
The largest number of stores is located in regional Queensland.
"Sanity has always been proud of opening in regional cities and towns like Toowoomba. It is an important part of our history and will always be an important part of our long future to come," Mr Pegg said.
