SPEED limits will not change along some of the busiest sections of the Warrego Highway.
The State Government has been reviewing speed limits across Queensland.
As part of the review, it has decided not to increase the speed limit on the Warrego Hwy between Gatton and Helidon from 100kmh to 110kmh.
This was due to traffic volumes and the potential to confuse motorists.
The 100kmh speed limit on the Warrego Hwy between the Kingsthorpe intersection and Jondaryn will also be retained.

There was concern a change would endanger motorists due to the amount of traffic and intersections on that section of highway.
"An increased speed limit on an undivided road with high traffic volumes could cause a dangerous increase in overtaking manoeuvres that has the potential to result in increased crashes and severity," the review read.
However, speed limit changes will take place on other sections of the Warrego Hwy west of Toowoomba.
A 35km section between Macalister and Brigalow will go from 100kmh to 110kmh.
Limits will also be "rationalised" to 110kmh on a 55km segment between Jackson and Roma, reducing two speed zones to one.

Out of the 42 sections of road reviewed in the second round, 13 will see changes.
Other notable changes to Queensland speed limits include:
- Four speed zones on sections of the Peak Downs Highway from Te Kowai to Walkerston will be reduced to 90 km per hour
- Carnarvon Hwy, Surat to St George to be increased to 110kmh
- Leichhardt Hwy, Taroom to Miles, increased to 110kmh with isolated reductions to 100kmh at approaches to level crossings

Minister for Transport and Main Roads Scott Emerson reminded motorists not to jump the gun on the impending speed limit changes.
"Changes to road signs will happen progressively and are expected to be completed by late August," he said.
"Engineers are now carefully assessing the final 38 review results."
