Piccolo Papa has come in at number one, with people not able to go past its authentic Italian dishes.

Here are the top six Italian restaurants as rated by TripAdvisor.

1. Piccolo Papa

This quaint and cosy pizzeria is located at 4/52 High St, Rangeville. You can google map it or just follow the smell of authentic wood fired pizza.

"Best pizza I had for years! High quality ingredients, good size pizza and friendly service," Alex Z said. 

"Love this rustic little restaurant. Great service, delightful Italian food cooked by Italians. Pumpkin, sage and pine nut sauce just delicious and the homemade tiramisu was the best I have ever eaten," Pamela Hanrick said.

2. La Pizzaiola

You can find this homey traditional Italian restaurant at 173 Margaret St. A local favourite for traditional pizza and pasta.

"The food is delicious. But best of all was the service. Lovely friendly quick waiters. Will be back here again and again," Elle Emme said.

"The food was delicious. The wine reasonably priced and our waitress was lovely. Highly recommended," Liz T said.

3. Bon Amici Wine Bar and Café

This Italian style café serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and can be found at 191 Margaret St.

"Friendly service, and food was of top quality," Kameel M said.

"Amazing coffee and wholesome food. Always greeted with a smile and we're never disappointed," Ebbonie R said.

4. La Taste

This pizza and pasta joint is located on 630 Ruthven Street and is a favourite among some locals.

"Best pizza in town by far," Allison B said. 

"Quick service and tasty pizza" John said.

5. Vapiano

This Italian chain has recently opened its doors to the town and is an exciting new place to eat out.

"The restaurant has a great appearance and the staff were friendly and efficient. Just right," John M said.

"Really lovely atmosphere with fresh basil & rosemary plants to accentuate the Italian feel," Kaylene W said.

6. Rozzi's Italian Canteen

You can find Rozzi's all over the country, the Toowoomba branch is at Grand Central on the corner of Dent and Margaret St

"Quick and tasty. We have dropped in for a quick lunch several times, trying the calzones and pizza. Both were tasty and fresh," Susanne Bell said.
