TOOWOOMBA residents woke to drizzly rain and foggy skies this morning.
The current weather conditions are set to remain until lunch time.
Although forecasters are expecting conditions to improve as the day continues they predict there is the chance of a showers this afternoon.
With cooler conditions settling in, the maximum temperature is set to reach 24 degrees and with a minimum of 15 degrees.
The rain is expected to clear for a few days with partly cloudy conditions for tomorrow and Saturday.
The Bureau of Meteorology predicts the wet weather will return on Sunday, with a chance of a thunderstorm in the evening.
Next week will continue in a similar fashion with rain and possible thunderstorms expected on Monday and Tuesday.
