Registrations now open for Run4Geelong, all fees to support local healths services
Registrations are open and the countdown is on to Run4Geelong, an annual fun run bringing the community together in support of essential local health services.

Geelong runners and walkers are gearing up to again don Run4Geelong’s famous red T-shirts and take to the waterfront in aid of Barwon Health services.
Early bird registrations for the November 9 event kick off at 9am on Friday, with Mayor Stretch Kontelj on hand to help fire the starter’s horn on Thursday. .
All funds from registration fees go towards Barwon Health, with participants able to choose the key area to which their funds should go, including the Andrew Love Cancer Centre, mental health, women and children’s health.
Nicole Riddle, who was treated for breast cancer at Barwon Health, is among the thousands of people who will join this year’s event.
“Barwon Health have helped save my life, and Run4Geelong has given me a platform to give back for the wonderful care I have received,” she said.
“I encourage everyone – families, businesses, schools and community – to get involved, fundraise, and help make this year’s event the biggest and best yet.”
Courses for all ages and abilities are again on offer, including the 10km, 5km, 3km and the 1km kids’ course.
This year’s run marks the beginning of the City of Greater Geelong’s role as naming rights partner.
Barwon Health Foundation executive director Zoe Waters said the partnership was an exciting new chapter in Run4Geelong’s story.
Mr Kontelj also celebrated the council’s new role in the event.
“We’re committed to making Run4Geelong one of Geelong’s signature major events,” he said.
