TOOWOOMBA civil construction company Hotshot Transport Queensland, which traded as HTQ Civil Pipe Mining, is in liquidation.
The company was placed into a members voluntary liquidation on June 30 and Adam Ward of Worrells Solvency and Forensic Accountants was appointed liquidator.
In a notice to former employees dated July 3, Mr Ward wrote that he expected "to be able to payout your full employee entitlements" and that it would occur "as a priority dividend".
"I am currently reviewing the company books and records to assist you with your claim and advising you what your entitlements are indicated to be," Mr Ward wrote.
"I am aware that there are timesheets for the last week's wages which I am obtaining in order to calculate any unpaid wages which may be owed to you.
"I will write to you again shortly after I have calculated what I believe your outstanding entitlements are."
A Worrells note to creditors states the company is solvent and all creditors are expected to be paid in full, "the timing of which will be advised in future updates".
The Chronicle understands roughly five employees have lost their jobs.
According to Worrells, the company has 61 creditors.
The company's Australian Securities and Investments Commission records list Reuben Dolphin and Clint Kenny as directors.
According to the company's website, the business offered both civil construction services and plant hire.
A members voluntary liquidation differs from a creditors voluntary liquidation in that the MVL process is used by solvent companies to close down their business.
After a members voluntary liquidation the proceeds of sale go to the shareholders, whereas a creditors voluntary liquidation sees the cash realised from the sale of assets returned to creditors.
Mr Ward has been contacted for comment.
Mr Dolphin did not wish to comment.
