Qld appliance rebate: How you can claim up to $1000 cash back

Queenslanders will now be able to replace their old appliances and pocket a rebate of up to $1000. So how does it work? ALL THE DETAILS

In October 2023 the scheme extended to include small and medium businesses.

Sounds good – so how does it work?

Here is everything you need to know >>>

WHAT IS THE CLIMATE SMART ENERGY SAVERS PROGRAM?

The $22 million Climate Smart Energy Savers Program offers rebates of up to $1000 to buy and install eligible energy-efficient appliances with a four or more star rating.

Rebates are limited to one per household and will be available until the program’s funding is exhausted.

As part of the program you can receive between $300 and $1000 cashback on a range of eligible energy-efficient appliances, simply by making the switch from 2 to 4 star appliances.

The aim of the program is to help Queensland households save hundreds to thousands of dollars in energy costs each year, and reduce the state’s CO2 emissions by thousands of tonnes a year.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Then apply for the rebate by completing your rebate application online at the QRIDA portal.
