Family and friends of Courtney Anderson are still searching for answers more than seven months after her tragic death on the Bruce Highway.
A Justice for Courtney Facebook page launched this week has attracted more than 900 followers as her supporters “seek justice” and more information as to how she exited the vehicle she was travelling in near Bajool on April 1.
Ms Anderson, 28, from Gladstone, had been travelling with her male partner to Rockhampton in a gold Toyota Hilux when the incident happened about 5.15pm.
Police said at time said she suffered “catastrophic injuries” but it was unknown how she left the vehicle as it travelled along the road.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said they were still investigating the incident and had taken a statement from a person as recently as November 22.
No charges have been laid.
Ms Anderson’s family and supporters reissued a plea for anyone with any information to come forward.
“Courtney’s family and loved ones are heartbroken and seeking justice and the truth,” the Facebook post reads.
“Your help could provide vital information to uncover the full circumstances of this devastating event.”
They are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or the behaviour of the vehicle leading up to it, or anyone travelling along the Bruce Highway or in the Bajool area around the time of the incident.
Anyone with dashcam footage or details about the gold Toyota Hilux involved are being encouraged to contact police.
“If you have any information, no matter how small, please contact Crime Stoppers, 1800 333 000, anonymous tips welcomed,” the Facebook posts says.
