Floodwaters continue to subside across the Mackay-Whitsundays region, with roads reopening and rainfall figures lowering.
Roads in Bowen continue to be affected by floodwaters, with Inverdon Rd still closed to all traffic and motorists being advised to proceed with caution due to water on a number of roads in the area including Bootooloo Rd, which is open to four wheel drive vehicles only.
Peter Delemothe Rd in Bogie and Cedar Creek Falls Rd in Palm Grove are still underwater and closed to all traffic.
Koumala Bolingbroke Rd in Sarina is closed due to floodwater, as is Neills Rd in Habana and Hicks Rd in Glenella and various roads in Finch Hatton, Calen, Mount Charlton, Homebush, North Eton, and Kuttabul.
Lanes are still reduced on the Bruce Highway at Lethebrook, causing delays.
Those wanting to head north should be aware the Bruce Highway is closed at Plantation Creek near Ayr.
There are fresh warnings to be aware of potholes after the heavy rains, particularly on Gregory Cannon Valley Road and Shute Harbour Road.
Mackay recorded 24mm of rain in the past 24 hours with areas inland like Finch Hatton receiving 36mm of rain.
Further North there was even less rain with Bowen recording 15mm and Cannonvale and Hamilton Island recording 11mm in the past 24 hours.
A final flood warning for the Pioneer River was issued by the Bureau of Meteorology on Sunday morning advising that flooding was no longer likely at Mackay with river levels easing across the Pioneer river catchment, they advised the Pioneer River at Mackay was currently at 6.05 metres and steady with the high tide, below the minor flood level and likely to peak on Sunday morning.
They renewed a minor flood warning for Bowen pump station following a minor flood peak along the Don River on Friday morning, advising that rainfall and thunderstorms are forecast for the remainder of the weekend, which could cause rapid renewed river and creek level rises across the Don catchment.
The wet weather is expected to continue throughout Sunday with a high chance of rain and showers across the region.
