Little boy falls four metres from tree at Airlie Beach Main St

A primary aged schoolboy was taken to hospital after he landed on his face from a four metre fall near the main strip of Airlie Beach.

A child has been taken to hospital after falling four metres out of a tree near a busy Whitsunday street.

Paramedics were called to Airlie Beach Main St after a male primary school aged child fell landing on his face at around 3pm.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the boy suffered facial injuries.

He was taken to Proserpine hospital just after 3.30pm in a stable condition.
