George Harrison’s house on Hamilton Island

Another amazing Melaleuca Drive home, and originally owned by a famous Beatle, is this sprawling estate with a main house and three guest huts.

Bought by Melbourne developer George Adams in 2008 for $8 million, this six acre lot was owned by George Harrison and his wife Olivia in the ‘80s.

The house and huts were built using bamboo, stone and other natural materials, and surrounded by water and rambling gardens the property became a sanctuary and welcome retreat for the famous Beatle.
