Wet’n’Wild’s newest theme park attraction will be open in time for Christmas.
Village Roadshow CEO Clark Kirby on Friday will take the wraps off the four-slide Zoom Zone, which is already under construction.
The 17.6m complex replaces the retired Aqualoop slide.
“We are incredibly excited to bring these four new slides to the park with each having differing thrill levels to provide an experience for all our guests,” he said.
“Zoom Zone will be a kaleidoscope of colours with the four aqua-lucent tubes rejuvenating the top end of the park with the attraction nestled between the Aqua Racer, River Rapids and Constrictor.
“We are always looking at bringing new experiences to our theme parks and Zoom Zone showcases our commitment to the Tourism industry and bringing visitation to the Gold Coast.
Mr Kirby said the slides would have a variety of “thrill levels”.
“We look forward to providing more information and names on the individual slides as we reach milestones throughout the construction period and encourage our guests to visit our socials to stay updated on the progress.”
The theme park, which opened in 1984 as Cades County Water Park, has frequently revamped and replaced its rides in recent years.
Just three years ago, Village Roadshow unveiled its plans to build Australia’s tallest water-slide, which opened in December 2021.
