A woman had to be dramatically rescued after being caught in rapid-flowing floodwaters in a terrifying ordeal on Saturday night.

Emergency services were called to Victoria St at 8.12pm following reports the woman was trapped.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said two swift water rescue technicians carrying a helmet and lifejacket entered fast-flowing water to save the driver.

“The woman was removed from the vehicle and escorted to dry land,” he said.

The QFES spokesman said the woman’s vehicle stalled in floodwaters on the bridge.

A Queensland Ambulance Services spokeswoman said the woman was taken to Warwick Hospital in a stable condition.
