A Southern Downs man will have to wait a matter of months to learn his fate, after his trial was abandoned.
The man – who cannot be named for legal reasons – was facing 11 charges relating to an alleged string of offences which occurred over a period of two years.
He pleaded not guilty to all charges which range from rape, to assault with intent to rape and unlawful sexual relations with a minor under 16 on Monday at the first day of his trial in Warwick District Court.
However, the trial has stalled due to an error relating to a member of the jury, and a retrial has been ordered for the next sitting of the District Court.
He is expected to return to Warwick District court at the end of July.
