UPDATE 12.45PM: Warwick police and fire investigators are continuing their inquiries into the devastating house fire that destroyed a home overnight.
Emergency services were called to the Quinn Street blaze at about 11.40pm on Monday, with the house “fully engulfed” in flames when firefighters and police arrived.
The home was unoccupied at the time and no one required medical treatment.
A fire investigator was at the scene on Tuesday morning, and the burnt-out house has since been cordoned off with police tape.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the blaze has not been declared suspicious or non-suspicious at this stage, with authorities still trying to determine the circumstances around it.
EARLIER: A furious house fire has ripped through a home in the Warwick CBD overnight, with the cause of the blaze now under investigation.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said crews were called to the property on Quinn Street at about 11.40pm on Monday, where they found the house “well-engulfed in fire”.
Police officers and paramedics were also on scene at the time, but the house was unoccupied and no one required treatment.
The blaze was largely extinguished just after midnight, and firefighters were on the scene for another hour dampening hot spots and making the scene safe.
The QFES spokeswoman confirmed the cause of the blaze remained unknown, with fire investigators at the house on Tuesday morning completing further inquiries.
