Stanthorpe man’s dream comes true with $100k Lucky Lotteries win

A lucky Stanthorpe man has won the first prize Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw, taking home a whopping $102,000.

An unassuming Granite Belt man has received the life changing phone call we all hope for, completely oblivious to his major win.

The man’s soft spot for lottery game Lucky Lotteries saw him purchase the $100,000 winning ticket from Stanthorpe Plaza Newsagency.

Overjoyed, the Stanthorpe man said the happy news came as a big relief after a tough couple of years.

“This will help us with all the small things we’ve been wanting to do,” he said.

“We’re due for some renovations and new home appliances, It would also be lovely to take my family on an interstate holiday.

“I feel so happy, I feel like I might explode.”

Stanthorpe Plaza Newsagency co-owner Louise Bentley was equally as excited the outlet had sold a first prize winning entry.

“We’re so happy to have been able to change someone’s life forever,” she said.

“All the best to our winner and we hope all their dreams come true.”

The Stanthorpe man held the first prize winning entry in the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot drawn on August 27, with a consolation prize boosting the total win to $102,000.
