The B-grade men's team came away with another win at their game at Hugh Courtney Oval in Gatton over the weekend.

In their fifth straight win of the season, the Water Rats defeated the Toowoomba Raiders 21 – 10.

Club secretary Tess Enchelmaier said it was good to see the team get another win under the belt.

“At this point in the season we’re at the point where injury and fatigue come into play,” Ms Enchelmaier.

Enchelmaier said the players’ versatility meant the team was quickly able to adapt and continue to put its best foot forward.

With the season well and truly underway, Enchelmaier said the pre-season niggles had been ironed out.

“We’ve reached a point in the season where if there’s anything negative, we work on in training, and it’s nice to see it all come together.”

The Warwick Redbacks have turned their season around with a seven-point win against the Dalby Swans.

Club president Vincent White said the win had put the Redbacks’ season back on track.

“It was a hard-fought game with Dalby, had it gone on another five minutes they might have won,” White said.

White said the team was keen to extend their winning streak with another home game this weekend.

“The game is against a top team, so it will be a good challenge to turn our season around.”

The Redbacks will take on the Goondiwindi Hawks at Warwick Credit Union Oval on Saturday afternoon.
