NETBALL: Strikers stormed home in the final quarter to beat Stylistics 26-22 in one of the closest games in Warwick open netball at WIRAC.
The Strikers team is organised by Rhianna Ryan and Mel McLennan is the captain of Stylistics.
McLennan said the game last week was close until the last quarter.
"Rae Lomas shot well for Strikers while Nat Carey had a strong game at centre for our team,” McLennan said.
Stylistics have won C-grade down the years with a team that has been together in open netball for eight seasons.
The Scots PGC team scored a 30-26 win against Shooting Stars in Warwick C-grade netball this week.
The Warwick Netball Association is currently playing junior fixtures at Scots PGC College as work will soon start on new courts at Barnes Park.
The C and D open grades teams have only been split into two grades in the past fortnight and Scots have made it into C-grade. Three Scots PGC teams played in the first round of the Darling Downs inter-district netball competition, a first for the school.
