HARNESS RACING: Warwick driver Dayl March has a starter in each race at the Ray Bunch Machinery Cantor Cup meeting at the Warwick Showgrounds on Friday evening.
March is driving a horse for Clifton trainer Lola Weidemann in each of the three heats from 5.30pm.
Lola will drive three of the horses she trains and her neice Stacey Weidemann will also drive three horses.
Trainer Kevin Annetts also has a starter in each heat.
The best performers during the heats will qualify for the final at 7.40pm Friday.
Each heat and the final will be over 1609m, three and a half laps of the course inside the main arena fence at the Warwick Showgrounds.
The horses will pace around the whole arena and not just the half used for the Warwick Rodeo.
The meeting is being organised by the Darling Downs Harness Racing Club and will be the first at the showgrounds for 18 years.
While the TAB is not operating on the harness races, spectators will be able to hear commentary of each race from Garry Adcock.
