Woman slaps bakery customer, unruly Australia Day and man robs Salvos store amid Warwick break in wave

Warwick police are on the lookout for a man caught on CCTV robbing a donation bin in what was a busy long weekend for law enforcement.
Here’s what you’ve missed in the past seven days.
PUBLIC NUISANCE
A 61-year-old Warwick woman was issued a public nuisance infringement notice after she attended a bakery in Fitzroy St and slapped another woman who was in the store at the time with a child on January 23.
MAN ARRESTED ON AUSTRALIA DAY
At about 10pm on Friday, police were called to a caravan park at Leslie Dam with reports that a male person was causing a disturbance.
A Warwick police spokesperson said the campers had ‘had enough’ of the man and phoned the police.
The man was told by other revellers at the scene to leave, and became agitated and began allegedly threatening a camper with a knife.
Police will allege when they asked the man to pull out his ID from a bag, they saw a quantity of cannabis.
Police located a 41-year-old Toowoomba man there and, after initial investigations at the scene, he was arrested and later charged with four charges including public nuisance and possession of a dangerous drug. He is currently held in custody pending his court appearance.
BREAK AND ENTER
Detectives are currently investigating after a vacant house on Pratten St was entered by forcing a rear door sometime in the preceding week.
The house was subject to graffiti inside with paint and marker pens.
• Police are investigating after two unoccupied houses were broken into between about 5pm and 6pm on Saturday evening. These houses are located in Stewart Ave and Albert St.
Some personal items were stolen from both houses.
THEFT
Police are examining CCTV and speaking to witnesses after a suspect jumped a fence of the Salvation Army Family Store on Grafton St at about 1.40am on Wednesday.
The donation bins were dumped on the ground and contents rifled through before the suspect left with a number of items which had been left for donation.
TRAFFIC MATTERS
A Warwick man, 40, will appear in court after being intercepted and drug tested in Percy St at about 3pm on January 22. He will face a charge of driving with a relevant drug in his system.
• Police were conducting RBT in Dragon St last Wednesday when they intercepted a vehicle being driven by a 58 year old Warwick man. He was tested and allegedly returned a reading of 0.085 BAC.
He will appear in court in February for drink driving.
• Police intercepted a vehicle being driven by a 43-year-old Warwick man at about 8pm on Friday night. He was breath tested and allegedly returned a reading of 0.099 BAC. He was issued a notice to appear at Warwick court for mid range drink driving.
CAR THEFT
A Mitsubishi ute was stolen from a towing yard on Ogilvie Rd on Friday night.
Police are speaking to witnesses who saw several people in the vicinity at the time and currently investigating the matter. The vehicle was later located burnt out in the Bony Mountain area.
