Police are on the hunt for a group of brazen thieves who targeted a Warwick retirement village overnight.
At least two thieves reportedly forced their way into a construction zone at Oak Tree Retirement Village between 9.30pm and 10pm Sunday, using bolt cutters to break through the surrounding fence.
Warwick police say the offenders then stole a laptop and tools worth thousands of dollars from inside the fenced-off zone.
The tools were dumped on a nearby street and found by their owner shortly after the break-in, but the laptop is yet to be recovered.
No suspects have been identified or charged at this stage.
The theft was the only notable crime reported over the weekend, with police commending the community for good behaviour at the Warwick Cup and late-night celebrations.
