Possibly one of Queensland’s most vile and sickening pedophiles, who said his offending on innocent girls was caused by ‘sexual frustration,’ has been jailed for more than a decade.
The Warwick man - who we cannot identify to protect the victim’s identity - pleaded guilty mere months after his crimes were discovered by police.
The fiend abused three young girls, two over a period of months, but a third for more than a year, repeatedly.
The man aged in his 40s seldom looked up as he quietly pleaded guilty in Warwick District Court on November 7 to three charges of maintaining a sexual relationship with a child under 16.
The fiend was busted after the oldest victim told a person at her school in June of this year, who quickly informed police.
Crown prosecutor Catherine Birkett told the court all the offences - of which there were multiple - occurred in the family home, while the man had primary care of the children.
“(One child) said (it) all began when she was in year 7, and she tried to resist but … it would happen most days,” Ms Birkett said.
Much of the man’s offending is too graphic to detail.
“It happened so often the complainants could only visualise the most recent one,” she said.
“(The offending) will have a profound and long standing effect on these children and their mother.”
Judge Craig Chowdhury said the man had “abused a significant position of trust”.
Against one victim, the judge said, the offending would begin when the man woke the girl up for school.
“She tried to kick and scream …(the offending) was similar each time and happened most days, (she) would say no but he always persisted,” he said.
The second victim was also assaulted multiple times a week, but Judge Chowdhury said in this offending there was “extreme pain and degradation”.
Judge Chowdhury labelled the man’s excuses “appalling” revealing the man told police sexual frustration caused the horror offending.
The man also made admissions to police he had penetrated the children “on a few occasions”.’
“You have no care for the wellbeing of the young girls, I have no doubt they’re traumatised for what you did,” the judge said.
“They won’t forget it. I hope they can come to terms with them and live a productive life the best they can.
“It astonishes me that these offences still occur in this day and age. There is so much widespread publicity of the harm and trauma when sexual offending against children has occurred.
“You must have known what you were doing was seriously wrong, the children made it known they didn’t want you to do it, but you did it regardless.
“I hope the three girls can put this behind them the best they can and get the support they need.
“It is amazing that offenders like you put your own selfish needs above everybody else, in any event, you’re going to pay the price for it.”
The man was sentenced to 14 years in prison, and declared a serious violent offender.
A total of 148 days in custody were declared as time served.
