A TRUCK carrying meat products rolled over on the New England Highway at Wallangarra overnight.

Emergency services from Queensland and New South Wales were called to the scene at 1.56am, just outside Wallangarra.

Paramedics transported the 52-year-old driver to Stanthorpe Hospital in a stable condition after the single-vehicle crash.

He had reportedly suffered minor head injuries.

A spokeswoman from Queensland Fire and Emergency Services said there was a small leak from the truck, which was cleaned up by emergency crews.

Heavy haulage was called to the scene at 5.45am to remove the truck, which was on the side of the highway and not blocking traffic.

Emergency services left the scene by 8.35am.
