Old Talgai: Woman in 20s charged by police after man flown to PA Hospital following stabbing on rural property

An alleged drawn-out argument on a southern Queensland rural property has ended with a man being stabbed and a young woman in custody.

A young woman has been charged after a man suffered stab wounds on rural property in the Southern Downs on Saturday night.

Emergency services were called just before 9pm to the incident on a private property on Leyburn Cunningham Road at Old Talgai, about 40 minutes from Warwick and 50 mins south of Toowoomba.

Ambulance crews found a man in his 30s with at least one stab wound to his chest.

He was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.

A woman in her 20s was located at the property by police units a short time later.

Police will allege the pair were known to each other and had been seen arguing throughout the day.

The woman was charged with one count of unlawful wounding and will appear in the Warwick Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
