Man, 74, dies after crashing into tree at Applethorpe
A man has died in Stanthorpe Hospital after crashing his car into a tree, despite the efforts of paramedics and hospital staff to save him.

A 74-year-old Bapaume man has died after a crash that occurred in Applethorpe on Friday, December 1.
It is understood about 12.09pm on Friday, December 1, the man was driving along Amiens Road when his vehicle collided with a tree near the turn with Glenlyon Drive.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances.
The man was transported to Stanthorpe Hospital in a critical condition then flown to Princess Alexandra Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Monday, December 4.
