Livestock Selling Agents Association employee trampled by cow at Warwick Saleyards

An employee of the Warwick livestock selling agents has been hospitalised following a horror accident at Saleyards yesterday. Here’s what we know.

A man has been admitted to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries to his head following a horror incident at Warwick Saleyards.

The male aged in his 50s was at the Saleyards this morning and suffered a “potentially life-threatening” head injury resulting in being transported to Warwick Hospital about 8.20am Tuesday.

The man is understood to be an employee of the Warwick Livestock Selling Agents Association Pty Ltd.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman confirmed one crew attended to the matter, and discovered the man had been trampled by a cow, and then suffered a nasty knock after hitting his head on a railing.

The spokeswoman confirmed the man was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Southern Down Regional Council confirmed workplace health and safety investigations are underway into the incident and Council will provide further comment as appropriate.
