Four people injured in serious highway crash

UPDATE 4pm: The New England Highway has been reopened after a serious three-vehicle crash earlier this afternoon.
Two semi-trailers and a four-wheel drive were reportedly involved in the crash about 20km south of Warwick, which injured four people.
A spokesman from Queensland Ambulance Services said a man was initially trapped in his vehicle and needed to be extracted by Queensland Fire and Emergency Services.
He reportedly suffered potentially serious facial and leg injuries and was airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital.
A man in his 20s also suffered a cut to the head in the crash and a woman in her 30s was treated for abdominal pain.
Paramedics also assessed a man in his 60s who was complaining of nausea.
A little girl was also reportedly involved in the crash but did not suffer injuries.
Warwick police said initial reports suggested one of the semi-trailers drove into the four-wheel drive and truck while the vehicles were stopped at road works.
Emergency services were called to the scene about 12.45pm.
INITIAL 2pm: The New England Highway is blocked in both directions after a serious crash between two semi-trailers and a four-wheel drive about 20km south of Warwick.

A rescue helicopter has just arrived on scene to transport the man to hospital.
The spokesman said it was unknown which hospital the man would be taken to.
