UPDATE 9.30AM: Police say a car of backpackers pulled out in front of a truck on the New England Highway this morning.
A woman is being treated for minor abdominal injuries at Stanthorpe Hospital.
The driver of the truck and three car passengers escaped without injury.
A spokesman for Queensland Police said drink driving was not involved and no charges had been laid.
The northbound lane was congested until 7.30am as fire crews and paramedics cleared the scene.
INITIAL 7AM: A WOMAN is being treated for minor abdominal injuries after a crash between a car and a truck in Thulimbah this morning.
A spokesman from Queensland Ambulance Services said fire crews and paramedics were called to the intersection of the New England Highway and Thulimbah Rd at 5.55am to assist.
Six people were involved in the crash but no one was trapped or suffered serious injuries.
Two fire crews remain at the scene to ensure the road is safe.
Lanes are reduced but no delays are expected.
