Police have charged three people following a major investigation into multiple alleged stealing offences across several rural communities.

Police have charged three people following a major investigation into multiple alleged stealing offences across several rural communities in southern Queensland.

A 37-year-old Wilsonton woman, a 40-year-old Allora man and an 18-year-old Glenvale man allegedly stole from properties in Goondiwindi, Yelarbon and Limevale on Monday night.

It is alleged that between 10pm and 2am, the trio were travelling in a ute reported stolen from a Goondiwindi property on June 1.

They then allegedly attended properties in Oman Ama, Beebo and Limevale stealing another ute, as well as firearms, ammunition and farming equipment.

A police statement said that one of the vehicles was located burnt-out in the Felton area, and the other vehicle was located at Brush Creek covered in fuel but not set alight.

Police then launched Operation Victor Verdict; a major investigation into the alleged firearms thefts.

It was led by detectives from Toowoomba, Stanthorpe and Caboolture, as well as officers from the Toowoomba Tactical Crime Squad.

Officers searched an Oakey address where they located several firearms allegedly stolen from the Limevale address.

Detectives then arrested the trio in Caboolture about 5.45pm on Wednesday.

The Wilsonton woman was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of weapons, and one count each of possessing tainted property and possessing explosives without authority.

The two men were each charged with 11 offences, including three counts of breaking and entering, two counts of possessing weapons, and one count each of unlawful use of motor vehicle, trespassing, motor vehicle arson, receiving tainted property, possessing tainted property and possessing explosives without authority.

All three are due to appear at Toowoomba Magistrates Court on June 27.
