Three people have been taken to hospital and the Bruce Highway was closed north of Gympie after a passenger coach crashed early this morning.
Police say the Greyhound coach was travelling about 100km/h when it crashed through a barrier while travelling southbound at Gunalda in the early hours of Monday.
Emergency services arrived at the scene just after 2.30, reporting 20 people on the Brisbane-bound bus.
Everyone on board was able to remove themselves from the coach, but a man in his 20s suffered leg injuries, a man in his 40s arm injuries and a female in her 20s suffered chest pain.
All were taken to Gympie hospital in stable condition.
It is understood the other passengers were taken by police to a nearby service station where they were picked up by another coach.
“No road closures were required but as they were recovering the bus they have since put them in place,” a spokeswoman said.
“Around 6am road closures are in place while emergency services clear the scene of the crash.”
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said police investigations into the crash were ongoing.
