Questions raised for detention centres ‘shrouded in secrecy’

A Daily letter writer has questioned why the outsourcing of operations at Australia’s offshore detention centres hasn’t been adequately addressed.

Currently there is a Victorian Government inquiry into how those security firms contracted to oversee the state’s hotel quarantining program catastrophically failed: A failure that arguably has resulted in Victoria’s deadly second wave of COVID-19 infections.

There is also a lot opportunistic political finger pointing and blaming by members of the Federal Government.

The same Federal Government that outsourced the operation of Australia’s offshore detention centres to similar security firms.

A program shrouded in secrecy with scant public accountability.

A program characterised by severe abuse, inhumane treatment and neglect.

The Federal Government’s persistent resistance, over many years, to address these failures, strongly suggests that they condoned, as a matter of policy, the behaviour of those running the detention centres on their behalf.

For federal politicians to now talk about “serious failures with deadly consequences” in criticising to Victoria’s hotel quarantining program seems somewhat sanctimonious.

What is the truth?

Please take a few moments to reflect on the past few months.

In particular to whether the people of Australia have been conned/manipulated by our politicians and a glib media and public commentators regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.

From the start the sensational news that modelling of this virus was to exterminate 150,000 within months, yet history has yet to question the voracity of computer modelling.

Surely we are entitled to honesty and integrity from the so called “keepers of the public’s interest”.

In my lifetime, and I am 80 at the end of August, expected to witness, the Australian population so scared witless of a virus when 99 per cent have no ill effects from this virus and only fatal for those of my age.

Who is at fault?

The modellers, the health advisers to the leaders, for manipulating media releases and laws.

Thereby demanding that the people must obey as in all states believe that just being tested positive with the virus is harmful to them.

I challenge any politician to argue that the above statement and content is wrong and that they are guilty of perpetrating a massive fraud against the people in all states and nationally.

I believe history will prove me, and many thousand with the same conclusions right, and that we, the global sheep, have been hoodwinked but no apology from government.

We’re in for a global depression that will restrict the advancement on mankind for maybe a decade or two.
