Police are seeking witnesses in relation to an alleged break-in spree across multiple Sunshine Coast suburbs earlier this week.

According to police, on Tuesday, December 2, between 10.30am and 1pm multiple properties in Beerwah, Landsborough and Booroobin were broken into.

It is alleged by investigators the break-ins were all linked and involved a black Volkswagen Polo.

The Volkswagen was also seen travelling with a red Toyota Corolla, which was stolen from Maleny on Tuesday morning.

Sunshine Coast District Criminal Investigation Branch Detective Senior Sergeant Rob Lowry said it was important for people to report any suspicious behaviour they may notice coming into the holiday period.

“We’re asking for anyone who may have seen, or have CCTV or dashcam footage of, these two vehicles around the Sunshine Coast hinterland on Tuesday, December 2 to please contact police,” Snr Sgt Lowry said.

“With the holiday period approaching, it’s a timely reminder for people to be observant of what’s going on in their neighbourhood and report suspicious behaviour and vehicles to police.

“Keep important phone numbers in your phone, such as Policelink, Crime Stoppers and trusted neighbours, so they can be contacted easily if required.”
