Man suffers life-threatening head injury after e-bike fall at Tewantin

A man was left with a life-threatening injury after falling off an e-bike at a Sunshine Coast intersection, prompting a helicopter to be called to the scene.

A man has been flown to a Brisbane hospital after an incident involving an e-bike left him with life-threatening injuries.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said paramedics were called to the corner of St Andrews Drive and Cooroy Noosa Rd in Tewantin at 12pm on Tuesday, July 1.

The man in his 50s suffered a significant, life-threatening head injury after he fell off an e-bicycle, the spokeswoman said.

He was flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital via helicopter.
