The Sunshine Coast and Noosa regions are home to some of the best schools in Queensland but a top-notch education comes at a price.

We have run the numbers on the tuition fees for all the schools across the Sunshine Coast and Noosa and ranked them according to most expensive to least expensive.

All information on school fees was collected via the school’s most up-to-date fee schedules, available publicly on their websites.

The schools have been ranked by calculating the total amount of tuition fees for one child enrolled at the school from start to finish.

The total beside the school name has been calculated using the latest school fee schedule.

Sibling discounts have not been taken into account.

Prep – year 6:

6. St Joseph’s Primary School = $9520

St Joseph’s Primary School in Nambour is run by Brisbane Catholic Education.

Tuition fees for students are $1360 per year across all year levels, but families with two children at the school will pay $2176 per year, while families with three children enrolled will pay $2720 per year and families with four or more children will pay $2992 per year.

5. Siena Catholic Primary School* = $12,201

Sienna Catholic Primary School at Sippy Downs shares a campus with Siena Catholic College. Both schools are run by Brisbane Catholic Education.

The 2024 fee schedule for Siena Catholic Primary School is not yet available on Siena’s website.

The 2023 fee schedule states tuition fees remain the same through prep to year 6, at $1743 per year.

Families with more than one student at the school will receive an overall discount. Families with two students at the school will pay $2703 per year, while families with three students will pay $3366 per year and families with four students will pay $3714 per year.

4. The River School = $37,240

The River School at Maleny is an independent primary school giving a Neohumanist education.

Tuition fees at the school start at $1330 per term, or $5320 per year, across all year levels for one child to be enrolled at the school.

Families with a second child enrolled at the school will pay a total of $1270 per term, or $5080 per year, and families with three children at the school will pay a total of $1240 per term, or $4960 per year.

3. Stella Maris = $22,309

Stella Maris in Maroochydore is run by Brisbane Catholic Education.

Tuition fees at the school are $3187 per year; but parents with two children enrolled will get a 40 per cent discount and pay $4942.

2. St Thomas More Catholic Primary School = $11,956

St Thomas More Catholic Primary School in Sunshine Beach is run by Brisbane Catholic Education.

Tuition fees at the school remain the same across all year levels, at $1708 per year; but families with two children enrolled will pay $2648, families with three children enrolled will pay $3288 and families with four children will pay $32628.

1. Our Lady of the Rosary = $12,936

Our Lady of the Rosary in Caloundra is run by Brisbane Catholic Education.

Tuition fees at the school remain the same across all year levels, at $1848 per year; but families with more than one child enrolled at the school receive a discount.

Year 7 – year 12:

3. St John’s College = $14,640

St John’s College in Nambour is a co-educational high school run by Brisbane Catholic Education.

Tuition fees at the college start at $2345 per year for year 7 to year 10, and then increase to $2630 per year for year 11 and year 12.

Families with multiple children at the school receive a discount on overall fees. Families will pay $1217 per year for year 7 to year 10 and $1316 per year for year 11 and year 12 for their second child enrolled at the school.

Families will pay $973 per year for their third child enrolled in year 7 to year 10 and $1052 for year 11 and year 12.

A fourth child enrolled at the school will have $485 per year for tuition fees between year 7 and year 10 and $524 per year for year 11 and year 12.

2. Siena Catholic College = $15,778

Siena Catholic College in Sippy Downs is run by Brisbane Catholic Education.

Tuition fees at the college are $2568 per year with an added senior secondary surcharge of $185 per year for year 11 and year 12 students.

Families with another child enrolled at a different catholic school can receive a five per cent discount on their tuition fees at the college, a ten per cent discount if there are two siblings enrolled at a different catholic school on the Sunshine Coast, a 20 per cent discount if there are three enrolled at a different catholic school and a 40 per cent discount if there are four siblings enrolled at another catholic school.

1. St Teresa’s Catholic College = $16,320

St Teresa’s Catholic College in Noosaville is a co-educational school run by Brisbane Catholic Education.

Tuition fees remain the same across all year levels at $2720 per year.

Families with multiple students at the school get a discount on tuition fees. Families with two students enrolled at the school will pay $4344, while families with three students will pay $5272 per year and families with four students will pay $5816 per year.

Prep – year 12:

19. Noosa Christian College = $18,168

Noosa Christian College is a co-educational school which gives an adventist education to its students.

Tuition fees at the school start at $1050 per term (or $4200 per year) for prep to year 6 then $1575 (or $6300 per year) for year 7 to year 10, and then $1917 or ($7668 per year) for year 11 and year 12.

The second child in a family at the school will get a 10 per cent discount on tuition fees, the third will get a 30 per cent discount and the fourth child onwards will not have tuition fees.

18. Good Samaritan Catholic College = $23,180

Good Samaritan Catholic College at Bli Bli is a co-educational school run by Brisbane Catholic Education.

The school’s tuition fees begin at $1379 per year for students in Prep to year 6, then $2122 per year for students in year 7 to year 9, then $2387 per year for students in year 10 to year 12.

Families with multiple students enrolled at the school will receive a 40 per cent discount on tuition fees for their second child enrolled, a 60 per cent discount on tuition fees for their third child enrolled, an 80 per cent discount for their fourth child enrolled and a 100 per cent discount for their fifth child enrolled.

A different sibling discount is offered for students with siblings enrolled at any other school run by Brisbane Catholic Education on the Sunshine Coast, with a five per cent discount for one sibling, a 10 per cent discount for two siblings, a 20 per cent discount for three siblings and a 40 per cent discount for four siblings.

17. Unity College = $26,875

Unity College at Caloundra West is co-educational school run by Brisbane Catholic Education.

School fees, not including any levies, at the school begin at $1651 per year for a child enrolled in prep to year 6, $2941 per year for a child enrolled in year 7 to year 9 and $2165 per year for a child enrolled in year 10 to year 12.

Families with a second child enrolled at the school will pay a total of $1242 per year for children enrolled in prep to year 6, a total of $2193 per year for children enrolled in year 7 to year 9, and a total of $2374 for children enrolled in year 10 to year 12.

Families with a third child enrolled will pay a total of $892 per year for prep to year 6, $1486 per year for year 7 to year 9 and $1577 for year 10 to year 12.

Families with a fourth child enrolled at the school will pay $403 per year for a student enrolled in prep to year 6, $732 per year for a child in year 7 to year 9, and $786 per year for a child in year 10 to year 12.

Families with a fifth child enrolled will not have to pay school fees at all.

Families with other children enrolled in another school run by Brisbane Catholic Education on the Sunshine Coast will receive a separate discount, with five per cent for one sibling, 10 per cent for two siblings, 20 per cent for a third sibling and 40 per cent for a fourth sibling.

16. Blackall Range independent School = $40,644

Blackall Range Independent School is a co-educational school at Kureelpa.

Blackall Range independent School’s tuition fees remain unchanged for students across prep to year to 12, with a flat rate of $781.62 per student per term or $3126.48 per year.

But the school offers discounts on tuition fees for every sibling of a child already enrolled at the school, with a 20 per cent discount for the first sibling, a 25 per cent discount for the second sibling, and a 30 per cent discount for the third sibling and every sibling after that.

15. Glasshouse Christian College = $58,405

Glasshouse Christian College at Beerwah is a co-educational school and a ministry of the Glasshouse Country Baptist Church.

Tuition fees begin at $3025 per year for prep students and then increase to $3805 per year from year 1 to year 6.

Tuition fees for middle school, from year 7 to year 9, are $5205 per year and increase to $5645 per year from year 10 to year 12.

The first sibling of an already child enrolled at the school are offered a 10 per cent discount on tuition fees, while the second sibling are offered a 30 per cent discount and a third sibling onwards are offered a 100 per cent discount.

14. Montessori Noosa* = $60,720

Montessori Noosa is a co-educational Montessori school in Sunshine Beach.

The school offers three cycles: cycle 1, which includes early entry prep, prep and grade 1; cycle 2, which includes grade 1 to grade 3 and cycle 3, which includes grade 4 to grade 6. A fourth cycle, which includes grades 7 to 12 will be implemented in the future.

Tuition fees at the school start at $6720 per year for cycle 1 and 2, and then increase to $6800 for cycle 3.

A 10 per cent sibling discount is offered for the first sibling of a child enrolled at the school, and a 20 per cent discount is offered for a second sibling enrolled at the school.

13. Caloundra Christian College = $63,100

Caloundra Christian College was founded by CityLife Baptist Church. It is a coeducational school with a kindergarten program and students from prep all the way to year 12.

The college’s tuition fees begin at $3100 per year for prep, $3550 per year for year 1 to year 3, $4200 for years four to six, $5400 for year 7 to year 9, and $6850 for years 10 to 12.

The first sibling of a child enrolled at the school will get a 10 per cent discount on their tuition fees per year, a second sibling will get a 50 per cent discount and a third sibling onwards will not have tuition fees at all.

12. Nambour Christian College = $71,900

Nambour Christian College in Woombye is a co-educational school founded by the New Life Assembly of God church.

Tuition fees for the college begin at $4772 per year for students in prep to year 3, $4983 per year for year 4 to year 6, $6124 per year for year 7 to year 9 and $6527 per year for year 10 to year 12.

The first sibling of a child at the school will only have tuition fees of $3818 for prep to year 3, $3986 for year 4 to year 6, $4899 per year for year 7 to year 9, and $5222 per year for year 10 to year 12.

The second sibling of a child at the school will only have tuition fees of $2863 per year for prep to year 3, $2990 per year for year 4 to year 6, $3675 per year for years 7 to year 9, and $3916 per year for year 10 to year 12.

Third and fourth siblings will not have to pay tuition fees.

11. Coolum Beach Christian College = $77,816

Coolum Beach Christian College was founded by Coolum Christian Family Church in 2004. It is a co-educational school with its own kindergarten program and students from prep to year 12.

Coolum Beach Christian College’s tuition fees begin at $5324 a year for students enrolled in prep to year 6, $6468 a year for students enrolled in years 7 to 9, and $7048 for years 10 to 12.

Tuition fees for the first sibling of a child enrolled at the school begin at $4664 per year for prep to year 6, $5600 per year for year 7 to year 9 and $6088 per year for year 10 to year 12.

A second sibling of a child enrolled at the school’s tuition fees will be $3996 per year for prep to year 6, $4724 per year for year 7 to year 9, and $5116 per year for year 10 to year 12.

Tuition fees for a third child enrolled at the school begin at $1544 per year for prep to year 6, $1536 per year for year 7 to year 9 and $1620 per year for year 10 to year 12.

10. Peregian Beach College = $82,705

Peregian Beach College is a co-educational, non-faith, independent school at Peregian Beach.

The college’s 2024 fee schedule includes a table of annual fees, which states tuition fees and levies are invoiced in four equal amounts per term.

Tuition fees at the college begin at $5575 per year for students enrolled in prep to year 6, $7072 per year for students in year 7 and year 8 and $7384 per year for students enrolled in year 9 to year 12.

9. Pacific Lutheran College = $97,620

Pacific Lutheran College at Meridan Plains is a co-educational lutheran school.

Tuition fees at the school start at $6500 per year for prep to year 5, $7280 per year for year 7, $9920 per year for year 8 and year 9 and $10,500 per year for year 10 to year 12.

A sibling discount on tuition fees is offered for every additional child enrolled at the school, starting with a five per cent discount for the second child enrolled, a 20 per cent discount for the third, a 50 per cent discount for the fourth and a 100 per cent discount for the fifth child onwards.

8. Good Shepherd Lutheran College = $98,180

Good Shepherd Lutheran College in Noosaville is run by Lutheran Education Queensland. It is a co-educational school with students from prep to year 12 and is also home to an early learning centre for children in pre-kindy and kindergarten.

The school’s tuition fees begin at $6450 per year for students in prep to year 5, $7470 per year for year 6, $7800 per year for year 7, $8230 per year for year 8 and year 9, and $9250 per year for year 10 to year 12.

The first sibling of a child enrolled at the school will receive a 15 per cent discount on tuition fees, while a second sibling will receive a 25 per cent discount, a third sibling will receive a 50 per cent discount and the fourth sibling onwards will receive a discount on their enrolment application fee.

7. Suncoast Christian College = $104,346

Suncoast Christian College at Woombye is a co-educational school and a ministry of the Suncoast Church.

Tuition fees at the school begin at $5625 per year for prep students, $6604 per year for students in year 1 to year 3, $6825 per year for students in year 4 to year 6, $9453 per year for students in year 7 to year 9 and $10,025 per year for students in year 10 to year 12.

Families with two students at the school will pay $4781 per year for prep students, $5613 per year for students in year 1 to year 3, $5824 per year for students in year 4 to year 6, $8035 per year for students in year 7 to year 9, and $8521 per year for a child in year 10 to year 12.

Families with three children at the school will pay $3938 per year for prep, $4623 per year for a child in year 1 to year 3, $4796 per year for a child in year 4 to year 6, $6617 per year for a child in year 7 to year 9 and $7017 per year for a child in year 10 to year 12.

A fourth child onwards enrolled in the school will not have to pay additional school fees.

6. Immanuel Lutheran College* = $114,374.

Immanuel Lutheran College at Buderim is a co-educational, independent private school run by the Lutheran Church of Australia. It has students from prep to year 12.

The 2024 fee schedule is not yet available. The 2023 fee schedule states tuition fees start at $6058 per year for students in prep and year 1, then $6598 per year for year 2, $7138 for year 3 to year 6, $10,568 for year 7, $10,662 for year 8, $11,132 for year 9 and $11,582 for year 10 to year 12.

A sibling discount on tuition fees is offered for every additional sibling enrolled at the school; starting with 10 per cent for the second child enrolled, 30 per cent for the third, 50 per cent for the fourth and fifth and 100 per cent for the sixth child and beyond.

5. Noosa Pengari Steiner School = $116,256

Noosa Pengari Steiner School at Doonan was founded by the Noosa Pengari Steiner Association in 1991. It is described on its website as providing holistic, independent schooling.

Tuition fees at the school start at $7760 per year for students in prep to year 2, then $8360 for year 3 to year 5, $8808 for year 6 and year 7 and $10,056 for year 8 to year 12.

A sibling discount on tuition fees is offered for every additional child enrolled at the school, starting with a ten per cent discount for the second child enrolled, a 20 per cent discount for the third, a 30 per cent discount for the fourth child onwards.

4. Caloundra City Private School* = $130,419

Caloundra City Private School is a co-educational, non-denominational school in Pelican Waters.

Caloundra City Private School’s tuition fees are combined with a resource levy.

The school’s tuition fees and resource levy begins at $9111 per year for students enrolled in prep to year 6, and is $11,107 per year for years 7 to year 12.

The school offers sibling discounts on tuition fees for every additional child enrolled at the school, starting at 10 per cent for the second child enrolled, 25 per cent for the third, 50 per cent for the fourth and no tuition fee for the fifth child and beyond.

3. Sunshine Coast Grammar School = $159,514.

Sunshine Coast Grammar School at Forest Glen is a co-educational Christian-based school.

Tuition fees at the school begin at $10,354 per year for a child in prep to year 6, and then $14,506 per year for a child in year 7 to year 12.

A sibling discount on tuition fees is offered for every additional child enrolled at the school, starting with a five per cent discount for the second child enrolled, a 10 per cent discount for the third, and a 15 per cent discount for the fourth child onwards.

2. St Andrew’s Anglican College = $168,698

St Andrew’s Anglican College is an independent, co-educational anglican school at Peregian Springs.

Tuition fees at the college begin at $11,120 per year for prep to year 3, and then increase to $11,126 per year for year 4 to year 6. Fees for high school students from year 7 to year 12 are $15,140 per year.

A sibling discount on tuition fees is offered for every additional child enrolled at the school, starting with a five per cent discount for the second child enrolled and a 10 per cent discount for the third child onwards.

1. Matthew Flinders Anglican College = $218,796

Matthew Flinders Anglican College at Buderim is a coeducational Anglican School.

Tuition fees for the school begin at $15,156 per year from prep to year 6, and then increase to $18,784 per year from year 7 to year 12.

A sibling discount on tuition fees is offered for every additional child enrolled at the college, starting at five per cent for the second child enrolled, 10 per cent for the third child enrolled and 50 per cent for every child after that.
