New Coast entertainment venue NightQuarter has offered vouchers as reimbursement after a Christmas charity event fell short of attendees' expectations.

Tahlya Doecke and friends celebrated her 21st birthday at the Christmas Quarter event at the Birtinya venue on Sunday evening.

The NightQuarter website advertised the event stating attendees could expect "glitz, glam, dance and comedy and showstopping performances on stage".

But according to the birthday girl the "immersive Christmas experience" event was "just awkward".

"The table next to us left after 20 minutes," Ms Doecke said.

"It was just plain cringy," she said.

The charity event was created in partnership with NightQuarter and supported by Sunshine Coast Council.

All profits from ticket sales were donated to Wishlist - The Sunshine Coast Hospital Foundation.

But despite the venue's good intentions, the event missed the mark with attendees from the adults only show saying the entertainment did not warrant the $22 ticket price.

"The mics and sound kept going up and down," Ms Doecke said.

"One table was getting into it, but that's because they were p---ed as skunks."

One of NightQuarter's owners Michelle Christoe said vouchers were provided to everyone who attended Sunday night as a gesture of goodwill following feedback.

"The ChristmasQuarter event last night was not what we envisioned or intended to deliver," she said.

"We know it was not good and that breaks our hearts.

"We can do better. We know we need to make this up to you and hope you will give us another chance."

There are three more Christmas Quarter events planned over the next two weeks.

Ms Doecke said she would continue to support the venue despite her less-than-ideal 21st birthday celebrations.

"We'll go back," she said.

"We need this sort of thing on the Sunshine Coast.

"It holds a lot of promise, they just need to live up to that promise."

Ms Christoe said the evening ticketing from Sunday night was fully donated to Wishlist as a fundraising activity raising $6600.
