The first fast food restaurant inside Aura could be open by the end of next year after Stockland revealed there is land designated in its business park.

Aura project director Josh Sondergeld said Stockland was investigating which options would be best suited.

While Aura has an abundance of cafes and taverns throughout its three suburbs, the closest fast food restaurants are along Caloundra Rd and in the Caloundra CBD.

Mr Sondergeld said there were no concrete plans with any fast food chain but he confirmed fast food restaurants were included in the masterplan.

"We are looking to provide fast food options over the next 12-18 months," Mr Sondergeld said.

"We are exploring options within the Aura Business Park.

"There's land designated within the business park that are part of the masterplan.

"It will come as we make further progress with the development."

The business park at Bells Creek is home to some national chains, including World Gym, Kennards Storage and several local companies.

Stockland released 56 lots of land last week through an expressions of interest process in its newest suburb of Banya and Mr Sondergeld said interest was strong.

"We saw strong interest from different types of customers, with first homebuyers keen to make the most of government grants making up the majority of interest," he said.

"The potential customers will be notified this week as to whether they have successfully secured their choice of home lot."
